William E. Neville
	
	William E. Neville, 84, of DuQuoin, passed way at 5:00 a.m. Sunday, September 24, 2000 at the Fair View Nursing Center in DuQuoin.
	Bill had been a self-employed trucker and the last several years had been a lawn mower.  He was a Protestant.  He was a U.S. Army-Air Force veteran of W.W. II.  He was a life member of DuQuoin VFW Post 513 and a member of DuqUoin American Legion Roy Mitchell Post 647.
	 He was born September 9, 1916 in Franklin County, the son of Dennis and Verda (Reeves) Holmes Neville.  He married Roba Theo Cottrell on January 2, 1943 at Geraldine, Montana and she preceded him in death on January 18, 1994.
	 He is survived by one sister- Helen Beckham of DuQuoin, four brothers-Charles Tennison of Tamaroa, Harold Holmes and Vernon Dale Holmes, both of DuQuoin, James Clyde Holmes of Zeigler, several nieces and nephews.
	Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 26 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Everett Freeman officiating.
	Friends called from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Valier.
	Military graveside rites were conducted by the DuQuoin VFW Post 513.
